The Sazarac is a classic cocktail made with rye whiskey. This version gives it a strawberry spin, but darn, it sure is tasty!



3 oz Pennington's Strawberry Rye Whiskey

3 dashes Pechaud Bitters

Absinthe or Herbsaint liqueur

strip of lemon zest for garnish


In cocktail mixing glass with ice, add Pennington's and bitters and stir to chill. Rinse a chilled glass with a little absinthe and discard remainder. Strain cocktail into glass. Express oils from peel over glass and drop lemon zest into glass. Enjoy.
